This Sunday 11/17

Worship with us at 8:30AM and 10:30AM. At 9:30AM there is a Coffee Hour, Sunday School & Adult Bible Study. Kids Song time upstairs (all ages welcome!) at 10AM.

Tuesday 11/19: Council Meeting at 7PM

Wednesday 11/20: Praise Band Rehearsal at 7PM

Thursday 11/21: Gathered in Prayer at 10AM

Friday 11/22: Betty Bork Memorial at 10AM

Next Sunday 11/24: Worship at 8:30AM & 10:30AM with in-gathering of pledge cards, Coffee Hour at 9:30AM, Sunday School, Adult Bible Study & Choir Rehearsal at 9:30AM, Kids Song time at 10AM. Hanging of the Greens and Taco Bar potluck dinner from 5-7 (drop in anytime!)

Hanging of the Greens – Sunday November 24th from 5-7PM

We hope you can join us as we capture the Christmas Spirit and enjoy some time together preparing our Church for the coming Christmas Season. We will enjoy a taco bar dinner, kids cookie decorating & card marking, and indoor and outdoor decorating. Come and go during this time frame as you are able – many hands make light work! Sign up on the sheet located in the Gathering Space or email the office.

Basket Raffle donations needed 

On December 15th, St. John will be holding our 2nd annual Community Christmas Carol Sing-Along and Benefit. All proceeds from the event benefit Totally Buffalo Hope for the Holidays “Make A Case for Kids Campaign” which helps sick and underprivileged kids in our community. Do you work somewhere that may be able to donate a basket or gift certificate? Do you have a friend or neighbor who owns a business and may be able to donate? We can’t do this without your help! Informational letters and donation forms are available in the Narthex, or email the office.

 Office News

-The office will be closed this Saturday 11/16.

-Millie Webb, daughter of Erica & Matthew Webb, has been in our prayers as she underwent heart surgery yesterday. Those wishing to follow Millie’s progress or share words of support with her parents can do so at this link: https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/mightymillie

Save the Date

Saturdays 12/7, 12/14 & 12/21:  Experience Advent Worship at 5PM

12/15: Community Christmas Carol Sing-Along and Benefit at 4:30PM 

This event features caroling, food trucks, Santa, kids crafts & activities and a concert by the Niagara Frontier Chord Authority. Check out the details and register for your tickets at www.singxmascarols.com

Ways to be a blessing

-Purchase a holiday gift for a child as part of our “Angel Tree” project 

-One of our members, Shirleen is in need of a couple volunteers to help with the Foster Care Clothing Closet at OLV Human Services where she works. If you would be willing to give a few hours of time sorting and organizing clothing donations please contact her at 864-5782.

-Bring in donations of Brown Rice, Granola bars/Healthy snacks, Ketchup, Jam/Jelly, & Tomato Paste for the Tiger’s Den.

-Sign up to bring a “special treat” to our weekly Coffee Hour. Sign up can be found in the Gathering Space, or email the office for available dates.

-Sign up to be an Usher at either the 8:30AM or 10:30AM Worship. Commitment is typically once every six weeks.
