This Sunday 11/24*

Worship with us at 8:30AM and 10:30AM. At 9:30AM there is a Coffee Hour, Sunday School & Adult Bible Study. Kids Song time upstairs (all ages welcome!) at 10AM. Confirmation Class at Noon. Hanging of the Greens from 5-7PM.

*In-Gathering of pledge cards takes place this Sunday. Extra cards will be available in the Narthex.

Friday 11/22: Betty Bork Memorial at 10AM

Sunday 11/24: Hanging of the Greens at 5PM

Next Sunday 12/1: Worship at 8:30AM & 10:30AM Coffee Hour at 9:30AM, Sunday School, Adult Bible Study & Choir Rehearsal at 9:30AM, Christmas Pageant Rehearsal 10AM-10:30AM. Sunday School kids will sing in church this day at the 8:30 Worship and as a Prelude to the 10:30 Worship.

Hanging of the Greens is THIS SUNDAY from 5-7PM

If you haven’t signed up and would still like to attend, just respond to this email! We hope you can join us as we capture the Christmas Spirit and enjoy some time together preparing our Church for the coming Christmas Season. We will enjoy a taco bar dinner, kids cookie decorating & card making, and indoor and outdoor decorating. Come and go during this time frame as you are able – many hands make light work!

Basket Raffle donations needed 

On December 15th, St. John will be holding our 2nd annual Community Christmas Carol Sing-Along and Benefit. All proceeds from the event benefit Totally Buffalo Hope for the Holidays “Make A Case for Kids Campaign” which helps sick and underprivileged kids in our community. You can help by:

-Donating an entire basket of items

-Donating a gift certificate

-Donating items to supplement baskets we will make

Informational letters and donation forms are available in the Narthex, or email the office. Please consider soliciting local businesses you frequent for donations, which are tax deductible.

-The office will be closed next week Thursday-Saturday (11/28-11/30)

Save the Date

Saturdays 12/7, 12/14 & 12/21:  Experience Advent Worship at 5PM

12/15: Community Christmas Carol Sing-Along and Benefit at 4:30PM 

This event features caroling outside around a giant bonfire, food trucks (we’ve confirmed Fat Bobs and The Cheesy Chick will be on-site!), Santa, kids crafts & activities and a concert by the Niagara Frontier Chord Authority. Check out the details and register for your tickets at www.singxmascarols.com

Ways to be a blessing

-Purchase a holiday gift for a child as part of our “Angel Tree” project. We also need empty computer paper boxes for the gifts.

-Bring in donations of Cooking Oils, Soups & Pasta (wheat & gluten free) for the Tiger’s Den.

-Sign up to bring a “special treat” to our weekly Coffee Hour. Sign up can be found in the Gathering Space, or email the office for available dates.

-Sign up to be an Usher at either the 8:30AM or 10:30AM Worship. Commitment is typically once every six weeks.
